Job Details

This role supports manufacturing by ensuring that parts are available to meet production schedules and that finished products are available for customers order fulfillment. Coordinate inventory for all associated warehouse locations as well as material movement between warehouse and production areas.

  • Coordinate the supplier base and purchasing function for inventory expenditures ensuring the highest quality product is purchased for the most cost effective price and consistently delivered on time in support of business requirements
  • Maintain inventory levels within established budgets
  • Monitor weekly material requirements through MRP system and place purchase orders in ERP system. Clearly communicate to local management on supply disruption.
  • Work in conjunction with production, warehouse, and engineering to ensure appropriate scheduling, procurement, and movement of materials.
  • Work with suppliers to develop continuous improvement programs to improve quality and reduce purchase cost.
  • Develop the most cost effective system for delivery of raw materials and manage in-transit inventories.
  • Ensure ERP system are maintained relative to suppliers and applicable data. Address invoice queries within a reasonable time frame
  • Participate in internal / external audits as required
  • Support indirect procurement RFQ and cost comparison, PO placement, handling and follow up.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree. Business, Science or related. Required

EXPERIENCE

3+ years Related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.Required

3+ years Experience in a manufacturing environment in purchasing and planning

TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS

•APICS certification, CPIM or Purchasing CPM. Preferred

•Microsoft Office proficient. Preferred

•Oracle proficient. Preferred

Lean Manufacturing. Preferred
