The Role

Haemonetics is seeking a commercially driven and strategic National Sales Manager to lead its Blood Management business in Italy, covering haemostasis management (TEG®), Cell Salvage, and associated services.

This role combines strategic leadership, team development, and full commercial accountability, with a focus on driving sustainable growth and strengthening long-term partnerships across the Italian healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities

As National Sales Manager, you will:

  • Define and execute the national commercial strategy across capital, consumables, and service solutions
  • Own revenue performance and AOP delivery across Italy
  • Drive a programmatic, Patient Blood Management (PBM)-led approach to unlock clinical and economic value
  • Lead complex capital sales, tenders, and competitive conversion opportunities
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with clinicians, hospital management, procurement bodies, and regional decision-makers
  • Manage and optimise a network of agents and distributors, ensuring alignment to strategy, performance expectations, and brand standards
  • Ensure robust forecasting, pipeline visibility, and CRM discipline
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Service, and EMEA leadership teams

Team Leadership

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, including:

  • Territory Sales Managers
  • Clinical Specialists
  • Business Development Manager(s)

In addition, you will have oversight of external commercial partners, including agents and distributors across key regions.

  • Align commercial activity with clinical adoption and utilisation growth
  • Drive capability in programme-based and value-led selling
  • Ensure effective management, coaching, and performance oversight of agents and distributors
  • Develop talent and ensure strong succession planning

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in medical device or healthcare sales leadership
  • Proven ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams and indirect channels (agents/distributors)
  • Strong understanding of the Italian healthcare system (regional structures, public tenders, procurement pathways)
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering commercial growth
  • Experience managing distribution networks and tender-based sales models

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in blood management, haemostasis, surgery, or critical care environments
  • Exposure to value-based / programmatic selling approaches

  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen
  • High credibility with clinical stakeholders
  • Proven leadership and coaching capability
  • Ability to navigate a regionally fragmented healthcare system and indirect sales channels
  • Data-driven performance management and decision-making

  • National, field-based role with regular travel across Italy
  • Regular engagement with regional stakeholders, agents, and distributors

Pay Transparency


The base salary actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for a sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role. In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees.

The Pay Range for this role is:

€57,000.00-€95,100.00/Annual

For Sales roles, the range reflects on target earnings, which includes both base salary and sales incentive target.
