Your new role as Business Development Manager

Part of the national Business Growth team, the Business Development Manager is responsible for attracting new doctors to Healthe Care hospitals, nurturing leads, and supporting existing doctors to grow their practice.

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and Communications and working closely with the individual Hospital and Regional CEOs, this role is critical to growing Healthe Care’s business.

About you

A driven, confident self-starter you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with high performing Specialists, Surgeons and Referrers. To ensure your success, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field

  • Previous experience working in a Business Development role within healthcare

  • A professional mindset, seeking opportunities to expand your existing network

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical and project management skills

  • Experience delivering educational events, conferences and professional networking activities

  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and conflicting priorities

  • Highly motivated; working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

In this strategically important role, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and attracting new Specialists and Surgeons to Healthe Care hospitals to support strategic growth

  • Identifying growth opportunities for existing Specialists and Surgeons, working closely with hospital Executives to strengthen core and expansion specialties

  • Building and managing an accurate CRM database of current and prospective Specialists and Surgeons, supporting targeted communication and relationship development

  • Maintaining a comprehensive stakeholder inventory, including competitors and partners, focusing on the identification of business opportunities within each catchment

  • Providing evidence‑based market insights, including competitor analysis, referral trends and demographic data to inform hospital-specific strategic planning

  • Planning and delivering events, including CPD education, specialty forums and conferences in collaboration with hospital Executives and the Head of Marketing and Communications

  • Promoting Healthe Care hospitals and their services through targeted networking, professional events and promotional activities using approved marketing collateral

  • Developing marketing profiles for Specialists and Surgeons for use in community and referrer engagement, including with General Practitioners and Allied Health providers.
