Hurstville Private is a 157 bed Healthe Care Australia private hospital with 7 operating theatres, 2 Catheter Laboratories, a renowned Maternity Unit and Level 2 Intensive Care (ICU) and Coronary Care Units (CCU). We specialise in Urology, Colorectal, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, Bariatric, Gynaecology, General and Dental surgical procedures. Hurstville Private is located 16 km south east of Sydney’s CBD and enjoys an employment of diverse cultural mix.

About the Role: An opportunity is available for highly motivated and suitably qualified Nurses to be part of our Cath Lab team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced team providing procedures including interventional pain management, coronary angiography, PCI, Electrophysiology and device implantation. The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality patient care and provide support and education to patients and their families.

About You:

Being a person that enjoys and thrives in a busy environment, to ensure your success in this role, you will have:

Essential Criteria

  • Current registration with AHPRA

  • Sound clinical skills in the area of Cardiology

  • Willingness to cross train in different CCL procedures & roles: Scrub, Scout, haemodynamic monitoring and Recovery.

  • Strong focus and commitment to quality patient care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills

  • Knowledge of Quality/Continuous Improvement process

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

  • Demonstrated computer literacy

  • Ability to participate in on-call roster

  • Current ALS certificate or willingness to undertake

  • Up to date Immunisations as health care worker (including COVID-19)

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous Cardiac Catheter Lab, Critical Care, or Anaesthetic nursing experience desirable
