What we’re looking for

An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic Registered or Enrolled Scrub Scout Nurses to join our team and Brisbane Waters Private Hospital in the capacity of a full time or part time role.

Brisbane Waters Private Hospital has 4 theatres which provide surgical care to both complex and day surgery patients, along with a rehabilitation ward and the Central Coast’s largest private mental health and addictions unit.

As a member of the Perioperative Department, you will be part of a team that values professional development and is committed to excellence.

Ideally you will have the following;

Essential Criteria

Current Registration with AHPRA;

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Theatre Unit Nursing;

• Demonstrated clinical competence with proven ability to operate confidently in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and Plastics;

• Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills;

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centred care;

• Well-developed time management skills with a high degree of initiative;

• Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement;

• Experience with computerised reporting systems;

• Commitment to Professional Development and to a structured learning program for all staff;

• Membership of relevant professional organisation;

• Immunisation Evidence (including seasonal influenza) and additional serology report.

Desirable Criteria

• Completion of a Post Graduate qualification;

• Membership of relevant professional organisation.
