About you

The Facility Manager reports to the CEO/DCS. The Facility Manager is responsible for managing and co-ordinating all aspects of building maintenance, preventative maintenance of all non-medical equipment and management and supervision of work conducted by contracted services.

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Ensuring engineering maintenance service activities are carried out in accordance with corporate policy guidelines and approved budgets

  • Management and supervision of all work conducted by contracted services

  • Ensure compliance with prescribed standards and maintenance project deadlines

  • Undertaking assigned maintenance tasks

  • Ensure maintenance records for the facility are up to date and meet essential criteria

  • Development and maintenance of asset register

  • Current drivers license

  • Current working with children and police check

Mandatory Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a trade like environment

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Flexibility and quick adaptability

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team displaying a ‘can do’ attitude

Desired Criteria:

  • Recognised fire training qualification or working towards same

  • Project management experience

  • Previous experience in hospital maintenance

  • Current forklift license
