Hurstville Heart Centre is a Cardiology medical practice operated by Hurstville Private Hospital. We are all about “Real People and Extraordinary Care” and are committed to the provision of high standards of health care delivery, whilst continually striving for a “gold star” performance every time.
Hurstville Heart Centre currently has 4 Cardiologists who are supported by both clinical and nonclinical health care providers, offering Cardiology testing and consulting to both outpatients and inpatients of Hurstville Private Hospital.
Your New Role as an Administration Officer
Being an experienced Administrator, you will provide high level administrative support to patients and members of the Hurstville Heart Centre care team. Your role within the Administration team will showcase your excellent customer service whilst incorporating your attention to detail.
Your workday will require you to greet, admit and direct patients during their visit, prepare documentation including patient records, patient bookings, process payments, liaise with other members of a multidisciplinary team and external health service providers.

About You
Being a person that enjoys and thrives in a busy environment, to ensure your success in this role, you will have:
Essential Criteria
Minimum 1 year experience in a health care setting.
Exceptional collaborative Interpersonal, leadership and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal customer service.
Experience with computerised reporting systems.
Knowledge of procedures/EFTPOS/Accounts/Billing procedures.
Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Medicare MBS Item Numbers.
Knowledge and experience with Health Fund rebates and Health Fund Agreement Terms.
Knowledge and understanding of Patient Management Systems including WebPAS.
Commitment to Professional Development and a structured learning program for all staff.
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience with Health Track.
Understanding of Cardiology services.
