Brisbane Waters Private Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic General Service Officer (Catering) in a casual or part time position to be part of a dynamic, friendly team providing quality and nutritionally balanced meals for our patients.

Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager the successful applicant will have a working knowledge of the principles of safety within a health care environment.

About you

Joining a team of like-minded professionals, you will have a flexible approach and the ability to work in an ever-changing environment. To ensure your success, you will have:

• General catering knowledge

• Hold or obtain a Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate

• Work both independently and within a team structure

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy

• Available to work varying shifts including day, afternoons and weekends

• High standard of customer service and team approach

• Ability to work with minimal supervisions and to prioritise work effectively

• Awareness of the HACCP system

• Awareness and understanding of IDDSI framework.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

• Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.

• This is a Category B (low risk role). Immunisation evidence (including full COVID vaccination) and serology report is required.

Supported by a team of dedicated professionals we provide patient-centred care in Medical/Surgical, Rehabilitation, Drug & Alcohol and Mental Health inpatient services and outpatient day program services to the community of the NSW Central Coast.
