About you

Our ICU CMOs work under the supervision of Intensivists who are fellows of CICM. The successful candidate will play an active role in the daily management of intensive care patients. The CMO will also assess ward patient, transport critically unwell patients internally, and be a key member of the rapid response team. With a focus on ongoing education, the CMO is encouraged to develop procedural skills and competencies, including participation in the onsite and external Continuing Medical Education activities.

Essential Criteria:

• Current registration with AHPRA

• Demonstrated experience in critical care assessment and resuscitation

• Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience adequate to undertake the roles required of a critical care CMO

• Demonstrated competency in caring for ventilated patients

• Capacity to work on rotating roster and on call basis

• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload

• Demonstrated good professional communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous minimum experience of 6 months in a Level 2 or higher Intensive Care Unit and 6 months of Anaesthetics experience

• Knowledge or experience of the Private Health industry
