Lingard Private Hospital is seeking Medical Officers to join our Coronary Care Unit (CCU). This opportunity is suitable for Junior Medical Officers, Registrars, and Career Medical Officers with an interest in cardiology, acute medicine, or critical care.
The CCU provides specialist care for patients with acute and complex cardiac conditions within a 24/7 acute service. You will work in a supportive, consultant‑led environment alongside experienced nursing and multidisciplinary teams, with clear escalation pathways and strong clinical governance.
The Lingard Cardiology CMO’s primary function is to support in a collaborative care model for cardiothoracic surgery and interventional cardiology patients with the provision of high-quality care to patients as determined by the treating Specialist Consultant in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, timely, and effective medical care to CCU patients
Assess, review, and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions
Participate in ward rounds, clinical handover, and multidisciplinary meetings
Respond to acute clinical issues, including after hours and on call duties
Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance activities
Rostering & On Call
24/7 rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
On call commitments with senior medical support available
Flexible working arrangements considered based on service needs and experience
About You
Essential Criteria
MBBS (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration
Interest or experience in cardiology, acute medicine, or critical care
Ability to work effectively in a rostered acute care environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to high quality, patient centred care
Desirable
PGY2 or above
Experience in CCU, ICU, ED, or acute medical settings
Interest in Physician or Cardiology training
Advanced Life Support competencies
Ability to work with an appropriate level of autonomy
