What we’re looking for
An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic Registered Anaesthetic Scrub Scout Nurses to join our team at Hobson Healthcare Sydenham in the capacity of a full time or part time role.
Hobson Healthcare Sydenham has two theatres which provide Endoscopy, Oral Surgery and Paediatric Dental Surgery for day surgery patients.
As a member of the Perioperative Department, you will be part of a team that values professional development and is committed to excellence.
Essential Criteria
Current Registration with AHPRA
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Theatre Unit Nursing;
Demonstrated clinical competence with proven ability to operate confidently in Anaesthetics, Scrub Scout for Oral Surgery, Paediatric Dental Surgery, and Airway Management for IV sedation in Endoscopy
Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient-centred care
Well-developed time management skills with a high degree of initiative
Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement
Experience with computerised reporting systems
Commitment to Professional Development and to a structured learning program for all staff
Membership of relevant professional organisation
Immunisation Evidence (including seasonal influenza) and additional serology report.
Desirable Criteria
Completion of a Post Graduate qualification in anaesthetics /perioperative nursing;
Membership of relevant professional organisation.
