About you

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant in Nursing or Undergraduate Assistant in Nursing to join our team. AIN activities are delegated by and under the close supervision of a Registered Nurse and reports to the Registered Nurse/ Nurse Unit Manager as directed. The role of the AIN/Undergraduate AIN encompasses working within their scope of practice as outlined according to their equivalent qualification/university level. This is a casual role that will work across all departments.

Essential criteria

• Must have completed first year of University (Undergrad AIN) or completed TAFE qualifications

• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrates a customer-focused mindset

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team displaying a ‘can do’ attitude

• Proven commitment to professional development and quality improvement

• Open honest approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality

Desirable criteria

• Acute hospital experience
