Want to join a team that makes a real difference in our community? At Lingard Private Hospital, our Medical Records professionals play a crucial role in the management of Medical Documentation. This is essential for facilitating patient care, ensuring continuity of treatment and protecting the legal interests of both the patient and healthcare provider.
We are looking for a bright, friendly and professional team player, who is a quick learner, has excellent attention to detail and who will always put our patient’s needs first. Your daily tasks will be varied, including (but not limited to):
Efficient provision of patient medical records for admissions, outpatient visits, reviews, audits and education
Assist with collation of medical records to ensure completion and accuracy prior to coding
Comply with appropriate tracking of medical records
Follow up all outstanding records, results, reports and discharge summaries
Filing Loose leaf and Medical Records
Responding to internal and external telephone enquiries
Essential criteria
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment
Experience working in a team environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt and successfully multi-task
Desirable criteria
Demonstrated experience using medical software, for example WebPAS
Certificate in Medical Terminology
Experience with Terminal Digit filing
Knowledge of State and Federal Legislation on Privacy and Confidentiality
