APAC Director – Services and Delivery

Position Summary

The Director of Services and Delivery is responsible for all implementation, installation and deployment services for all Itron solutions in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This position is responsible for strategic, financial, tactical, and operational management and execution of all aspects of professional services for active and prospective customers and countries in APAC. The Director is a principal executive liaison and must be able to work independently and remotely to oversee teams responsible for project delivery, technical implementation and program support operations. This resource is expected to support negotiations with customers to expand and extend services revenue opportunities, working closely and efficiently within large cross functional global teams. This person will interact closely with Product Management and R&D leadership to escalate issues and ensure customer success while working closely with Sales Operations and Finance to manage risk and budgets appropriately. This leader must be proficient at interfacing with internal and external executives, partners, and stakeholders equally. The Delivery Director will be required to coach and mentor the team spanning India, Asia and AUNZPI, and create developmental strategies to ensure ongoing engagement, satisfaction, and success at Itron.

High-level Responsibilities

- Building and successfully implementing strategic plans to meet short and long-term financial, customer and employee goals for the region.

- Garnering strong partnerships with the PBU, Sales and Channel Partner teams to drive growth in the region.

- Managing consistent program standards, structure, and governance for project delivery and implementation to ensure high delivery quality

- Ensuring staff development and team capabilities are aligned with required skills to support regional growth.

- Provides technical expertise and guidance to the APAC Services & Delivery organization to ensure contractual deliverables are achieved.

- Act as subject matter expert, leveraging the expertise of our people to solve customer challenges, and position Itron as a premier services organization in the region.

- Responsible for end-to-end Deployment Strategy in the APAC region, collaborating closely with peers in the Global Managed Services and Global Customer Support Services organizations teams to ensure that customers

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business (electrical or computer science preferred). Equivalent experience may be considered. MBA or other advanced degree a plus.

- 15+ years directing and/or implementing large-scale, multi-phase projects.

- Commercially savvy and experienced in negotiating and understanding complex contracts.

- Demonstrates strategic thinking to solve difficult challenges. Ability to identify risks proactively and apply strategies to mitigate.

- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Previous demonstration of multiple business situations where these skills have been leveraged.

- Experience in leading, growing and maintaining a team of skilled professionals.

- Experience and knowledge of the utility industry including electricity, gas, and water practices to deliver their services to customers.

- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects.

- Must possess above average written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to travel. Travel is required.
