You will join a team building tools to automate and streamline processes regarding the monitoring and observability of Itron applications and services. You will contribute to improving and redesigning legacy solutions in order to replace them with latest technologies. You will deploy Itron monitors and applications, and act as the point of escalation on related configuration issues.
Your responsibilities will include
Document and design various processes; update existing processes
Implementing service monitoring strategies
Manage logging and monitoring with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Nagios, Splunk etc.
Create release automation/CICD pipelines to securely build, package and deploy code to monitoring infrastructure in SaaS and Cloud
Your experience and skills
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong Linux experience and troubleshooting skills with basic understanding of networking
Scripting skills (e.g. with Python, Bash)
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
Preferred skills:
Experiencing adopting GitOps practice for managing applications.
Experience with entire DevOps lifecycle - Orchestration, Configuration, CI/CD, Monitoring, Security
Experience with laying down best practices for monitoring and observability
Experience with the Kubernetes container orchestration
Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Splunk
Experience with public cloud services
