This intern will support complete analysis for indirect costs related to the financial operations of Itron’s manufacturing in West Union, SC. This role will assist with developing, interpreting and implementing financial analysis and control. It is an exciting time to join Itron in West Union, as we finish transforming Itron’s manufacturing site to produce over 12 million end points in 2025 tracking to generate $1 billion in revenue.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance
Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans and operating forecasts
Evaluate rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of government regulations
Collaborates with manufacturing engineers, financial analysts and operational technicians to monitor and analyze site costs
Utilizes data to complete reports, make calculations and recommendations
Assists with the preparation of monthly/quarterly expenditure reports
Supports related special projects as needed
Duration: This intern will contribute 40 hours/wk during summer 2026
Required Skills & Experience:
Education: Currently enrolled in a related degree program (preference for accounting or finance)
Intermediate Excel skills (i.e pivot tables, formulas, vlookup, functions)
Professional workplace communication skills
Experience processing information to draw a thoughtful analytical conclusion
Available to work on-site in West Union, SC, Summer 2026, 40 hours/week
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience using Oracle
Experience using PowerBI
Experience with large data sets
Advanced Excel skills or certification
Travel: 0%
Physical Demands: This role is at a manufacturing site, no unusual work conditions. Role requires the ability to move about the manufacturing floor safely.
