We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Accounting Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in core accounting functions and process improvement initiatives. The intern will contribute to month-end close activities, assist with reconciliations and data validation, and support a project focused on automating existing accounting processes. This role provides valuable exposure to corporate accounting operations and supports talent development for future recruitment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations

• Perform data validation and support documentation for audit and compliance

• Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation of routine accounting tasks

• Collaborate with accounting team members to identify efficiency opportunities

• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests

• Document procedures and contribute to knowledge-sharing efforts

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Professional communication and problem-solving skills

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and completion of at least two years of college coursework

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)

• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, MS Copilot)

• Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance

• Coursework in financial reporting, auditing, or data analytics

Liberty Lake, WA: hourly compensation, state minimum up to $44.23 per hour.
