Position Overview

As an FP&A Principal within the CME & Devices team, you will serve as a strategic financial business partner to the Regional Vice President (RVP) of Sales for APAC and Cross PBU leadership teams, helping drive profitable growth, operational efficiency, and strategic execution. This role is pivotal in supporting APAC Growth, Global Growth Initiatives as well as identifying opportunities for Gross Margin improvement across all our business units (PBUs). You will also serve as a backup for the AMERICAS region, offering exposure to broader responsibilities and potential career growth opportunities.

This position offers high visibility across global finance and commercial teams, with the opportunity to influence decisions that shape both regional and global performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the APAC RVP of Sales and direct reports, delivering financial insights that guide commercial strategy and execution.
  • Influence regional and global decision-making through data-driven analysis and financial storytelling.
  • Lead efforts to analyse Gross Margin improvements in region (e.g., ASP analysis, FX Analysis, outbound freight, purchase price variance, excess & obsolescence etc.)
  • Support and help drive Global Growth Initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Own monthly close and reporting activities, including revenue and cost accruals, bookings and backlog reconciliation, sales compensation attainment, variance analysis, and commentary.
  • Monitor regional backlog and pipeline for hygiene and accuracy; prepare and challenge booking projections using Salesforce.
  • Develop, challenge, and maintain detailed forecasts (annual, quarterly, monthly) for revenue, margin, and Sales & Marketing opex.
  • Review customer contracts and assess financial implications in partnership with legal and commercial teams.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing refinement of sales compensation models, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regional performance metrics.
  • Calculate and validate attainment against quotas, ensuring accuracy in incentive payouts and transparency in performance tracking.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to set and adjust quotas based on market dynamics, historical performance, and strategic priorities.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Monitor regional past dues in coordination with GBS and Treasury and act as the liaison to CME.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support executive decision-making and scenario planning.
  • Ensure robust governance and auditability of sales compensation processes, including documentation, controls, and compliance with corporate policies.

Global Collaboration

  • Serve as a backup for the AMERICAS FP&A team, gaining exposure to broader business dynamics and expanding your impact.
  • Contribute to global FP&A efforts related to the Devices PBU, ensuring alignment between regional execution and global strategy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Highly analytical with a strong ability to challenge assumptions and refine financial processes.
  • Proven experience in influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic outcomes.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools, including Salesforce, Oracle, BI Reporting Tools, Hyperion, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions and cultures.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a track record of delivering results.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
