Temetra is Itron’s next-generation mobile meter data collection and management solution, providing you with new ways to optimize your operations and improve customer engagement. With full Itron Mobile integration, Temetra is being utilised in over 80 countries across the world. We develop the software to collect, store, and analyse meter readings, including eyeball reads, walk-by and drive-by AMR, all the way to fixed network AMI.

We are looking for a skilled Java web application developer passionate about building scalable solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on our multi-tenant meter data management system, which collects data from millions of devices worldwide in many Data Centers across the globe, integrates with IoT networks and enterprise utility systems. Temetra project is scaling for further growth in new markets/technology, that’s why we are seeking a full-stack developer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-stack development of Java web applications in a DevOps model in agile environment

• Continuously improve application code and development processes

• Share knowledge and support team learning in your areas of expertise

• Work on Customer projects and with other Itron teams/products to bring new features to market

• Be involved in handling support queries escalated from the support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a relevant field

• Minimum 5+ years of software development experience in Java (Spring framework)

• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, UX

• Experience in an agile DevOps environment

• Experience working on Linux as a development environment

• Proficient in English for professional communication

• Collaborative and able to communicate effectively in a team environment.

• Concurrency and concurrent data structures

• RESTful web services

• Chef IT automation

• Solr search engine
