This intern will support development for our Distributed Intelligence team by developing software testing tools across a global team. You will learn directly from counterparts at Itron’s headquarters and overseas teammates.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Integrate with a fast-moving cloud software development team

• Support the development of software testing tools

• Complete test automation and execution

• Work with the Agile, Scrum, and SAFe development process

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders utilizing professional workplace communication

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: Enrolled in a related accredited degree program (preference for computer science)

• Academic, professional, volunteer or related experience in software development

• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe development process

• Knowledge of cloud development

• Intermediate skill in C# and .NET

• Professional workplace communication skills

• Available to work a hybrid summer intern schedule with 1-2 days on site in Liberty Lake, WA, approximately 40 hours per week

• Powershell, REST

• Azure Infrastructure including VMs, Networking, Security, Databases, Queuing

• Microservice hosting (i.e. Kubernetes, ServiceFabric, and Docker)

• Source code control / Git

• Visual Studio

• Messaging technologies

• CI/CD

Physical Demands

This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.

Washington State: The base wage is the state minimum per hour - $44.23.
