Itron, a technology leader in the energy and smart grid sector, is seeking an Intern Software Engineer to join our motivated and talented Distributed Intelligence team. You will become a key contributor in implementation of next generation distributed intelligence applications which will enable our customers solve complex grid operations use cases.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with server and embedded developers to improve Outcomes software
Develop and execute manual and automated functional test cases
Log detailed defect records for engineering, including step-by-step instructions to recreate the fault
Communicate progress effectively in writing and orally, with both local/remote sites
Required Skills & Experience
At least two years of undergraduate study in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics or related field
Intermediate experience with C#, C++, or Python programming languages in a Linux environment
Knowledge of SQL server
Professional oral and written communication abilities
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience working in energy, or networking domains
Previous AMI, EV, or Analytics solutions validation experience preferred
