1. Role Summary:

The Business Development Manager for Digital Lending will serve as the key individual responsible for the successful delivery, infrastructure setup, regulatory compliance, performance monitoring, and continuous development of the digital lending product. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of digital lending technologies, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics to drive the growth and success of the product.

2. Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery process of the digital lending product, from conceptualization to launch, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, technology, legal, and marketing to drive product development initiatives and ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee the setup and maintenance of the digital lending product's infrastructure, including platforms, systems, and integrations, to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with technology teams to identify and address infrastructure-related challenges and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and execute strategies to obtain regulatory approvals and compliance certifications required for the digital lending product, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, legal advisors, and compliance teams to navigate regulatory requirements and mitigate regulatory risks associated with the product.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of the digital lending product, including customer acquisition, loan origination, portfolio quality, and profitability.
  • Analyze performance data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to optimize product performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the continuous development and enhancement of the digital lending product, leveraging market research, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to prioritize feature enhancements, new functionalities, and user experience improvements that align with customer needs and market trends.

3. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, product management, or related roles, with a focus on digital lending or financial technology products.
  • Deep understanding of digital lending technologies, processes, and best practices, with a track record of successfully delivering digital lending solutions in a regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations relevant to digital lending products, including consumer protection, data privacy, and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to drive complex initiatives from inception to execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to assess product performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence key decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, able to envision the future direction of the product and drive initiatives to achieve long-term success.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken), comfortable working in a cross-functional and international environment.
