IT Lead

Kredivo Group is seeking an IT Lead to build and lead the IT Operations function for a business entity within the group. The scope of this role covers all operational aspects of IT as aligned with the business. The position is based in Jakarta.

This role owns service quality, processes, and delivery across the entity's Operations and Enterprise Infrastructure scope. It requires a pragmatic leader who converts direction into executable workstreams, and who holds a team accountable to measurable outcomes. You will retain ownership of the entity's on-premise data center footprint, and lead its eventual transition to cloud technology.

You will report to the Head of IT.

About the Job:

  • Scope Translation and Delegation: Convert the IT roadmap and business direction into defined workstreams. Assign each workstream to a team member with explicit deliverables, success metrics, and deadlines.

  • Ownership of IT Systems: Act as the key owner of the entity's endpoint fleet, office network, Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) footprint, and IT service platforms.

  • Infrastructure Direction and Cloud Transition: Direct the team on the end-to-end architecture of the DC and DRC sites. Own the roadmap for the transition from on-premise infrastructure to cloud technology, and translate on-premise concepts into their cloud equivalents for the team.

  • Compliance and Security: Ensure the entity's IT systems meet financial industry compliance standards. Close audit findings within the agreed timeline, and prevent their recurrence through process change.

  • Team Performance and Development: Define the performance metrics for the team, and implement the tracking system behind them. Coach team members to own outcomes rather than assigned tasks.

  • Critical Incident Leadership: Lead the resolution of escalated incidents, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout. Step in hands-on when an incident exceeds the team's current capacity, and return to a directive role once the team stabilizes.

  • Process and Knowledge Ownership: Own process improvement, documentation, and the knowledge base within your scope, including versions that non-technical stakeholders can consume.

  • Stakeholder and Group Alignment: Align your initiatives with the group's Application and Identity verticals. Engage stakeholders of all levels, including C-levels, vendors, and regulators.

About You:

  1. Scope Translation: Proven ability to convert a strategic direction into a set of well-defined tasks for other people to execute. You will be asked to describe a specific case where you broke an ambiguous mandate into workstreams, and how you tracked delivery against it.
  2. On-Premise Infrastructure Depth: Current hands-on proficiency with DELL EMC server and storage hardware, Proxmox VE or a comparable hypervisor, Ceph or another distributed storage system, Grafana or a comparable observability stack, and SAN storage. You must be ready to apply this proficiency directly during critical incidents.
  3. Greenfield IT Build: Demonstrated experience standing up an IT function from zero, covering service model, asset management, onboarding and offboarding, and incident handling. Comfortable delivering without inherited processes or tooling.
  4. Team Performance Management and Coaching: Proven experience defining and tracking team performance metrics, and improving the team working model based on the results. Demonstrated ability to move a team from instruction-driven execution to outcome ownership.
  5. Financial Industry Compliance: Working understanding of the financial industry's compliance and security standards, and how they apply to IT systems. Direct experience handling audit findings and engaging regulators.
  6. Vendor and Outsourcing Governance: Experience negotiating and managing vendor contracts and SLA commitments, covering outsourced staffing and colocation providers. Demonstrated ability to hold a vendor accountable to quality standards.
  7. Cloud Translation: Demonstrated ability to map on-premise infrastructure concepts to cloud-equivalent architecture across compute, storage, networking, and virtualization. Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or a comparable public cloud provider.
  8. Education and Experience: Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in the field of science or engineering. At least 7 years of experience in IT operations or enterprise infrastructure, including at least 2 years leading or managing a technical team.
  9. Technical and Commercial Fundamentals: Aptitude towards fundamental concepts within enterprise IT, for example: Directory Service, SSO and MFA technologies, collaboration platform technologies, high availability design, disaster recovery planning, and network fundamentals. Non-technical aptitude towards IT budget ownership, such as cost justification and vendor cost negotiation.
  10. Working Style and Communication: High sense of ownership of job scope and managed portfolios. Ability to work within gray areas, and resilience to find solutions in such situations. Excellent command of English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
