About the role

Join our team in this hyrbid role as a Casual Laundry Production Worker / Delivery Driver.

Morning, afternoon and weekend shifts will be part of your rotating roster.

You will be responsible for processing soiled and clean linen, picking and packing linen according to orders in preparation for their dispatch and delivering orders safely to customer's sites across South East Queensland.

Quality, efficiency and attention to detail are critical in this role which has a direct impact on the high standard of service we offer our customers.

This is a very physically demanding role, so a high level of fitness is essential.

This role is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to social enterprise, and be part of a dynamic and rewarding workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

• Mentoring and setting a positive example for our staff

• Laundry operations including sorting, processing, and quality control of linen

• Operating required laundry equipment, and assisting workflow

• Picking and packing of stock

• Communicate and collaborate with production and delivery team members and escalate issues as required

• Manage a busy, multiple drop delivery schedule

• Loading and unloading of stock

• Maintain vehicle in a clean and presentable state at all times

• Ensure driving style is at all times law-abiding and professional

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Current MR license

• A passion for the Vanguard Laundry's social mission

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role

• A high level of fitness due to the manual handling nature of the role

• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic

• A team player approach

• A 'can do' attitude

• Basic computer skills and positive phone manner

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to navigate designated area and a basic understanding of routine truck maintenance procedures
