Help us deliver like never before

As a Delivery Officer, you’ll be working at a Delivery Centre where you’ll be responsible for manually sorting mail in preparation for delivery the next day. You’ll play a key role in supporting our Posties, who provide a vital service to our local community every single day. You’ll be working together with a friendly team of like-minded people, and your community relies on you, and it doesn’t get better than that! You’ll also be operating and delivering in our vans as the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day. You’ll be working autonomously out on-the-road, interacting with others and being a team player and it doesn’t get better than that!

Monday to Friday | Permanent Part Time | Monday to Wednesday Shift 2:00pm - 5:00pm and Thursday - Friday Shift 12:00pm - 5:00pm | 19 hours per week


You’ll be

  • Working efficiently individually or in a team to manually sort mail into logical street, number and into an appropriate round.
  • Lifting and handling heavy parcels and bags of mail regularly.
  • Required to use manual pallet jacks and stackers to receive and despatch large volume of mail.
  • Provided initial and ongoing training with senior team members who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development.
  • Unload mail articles from vans and manually sorting them into small or large letters and parcels including express posts.
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
  • Required to safely perform and operate a van to perform duties such as picking up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Licensed Post Offices and Delivery Centres.

About you

  • You hold a full or probationary Australian driver’s licence.
  • You’ll successfully pass our mandatory and practical driving assessment.
  • You're flexible with working additional hours if required.
  • You've a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly.
  • Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • You will be able to operate an Australia Post Van and help with van deliveries
  • You'll need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.
