SECURITY GUARD

Location: Bolivar SA

Security Services (Trades & Services)

Permanent part time (minimum 60 hours per fortnight) with the opportunity for additional hours to cover annual and personal leave at this and one other site.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Security gatehouse duties, including weighbridge operation, access control, chain of responsibility for transport, key control, alarm response for various maintenance alarms, after hours emergency response, receiving goods inwards, vehicle and traffic management control plus additional duties contained in the client SOP. The successful candidate will be cross trained for both the Bolivar and Edinburgh Parks sites to cover shift shortage due to sick and/or annual leave requirements and any additional shifts that the Client requests.

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria

Candidates please note, if you do not have the essential criteria your application will not be considered – You must have the following qualifications – current working rights to work in Australia, current appropriate class security license for the State of employment. Current first aid certificate and CPR, current State applicable motor vehicle driver’s license (NOT an International License), an ability to work rotating shift rosters including weekends and public holidays and have a level of physical fitness to be able to safely complete the duties expected. Excellent presentation and communication skills. An ability to both work well within the team environment and able to work unsupervised is an advantage.

Additional Criteria

The following qualifications will be of benefit to you if you have them or are prepared to obtain them within three months of commencement. Working With Children Clearance, Construction Induction OHS White Card. Basic understanding and use of Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheet.
