About the Role

As the face of our business, you will play an important role in delivering outstanding customer service and helping customers access a wide range of Australia Post services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service at the counter

  • Processing parcel and mail transactions

  • Assisting customers with banking and bill payment services

  • Processing passport applications and identity services

  • Retail sales and merchandising

  • Maintaining accuracy when handling cash and customer information

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of the Post Office

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Reliable, honest and professional attitude

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to obtain and provide a National Police Check

  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and eligible to undertake Australia Post Passport and Electronic Identity Services (EIS) accreditation and training

Highly Regarded

  • Previous Australia Post or Licensed Post Office experience

  • Previous experience in retail, banking, government services or customer service roles

  • Experience handling cash and EFTPOS transactions
