Marti operates a ride-hailing service that matches riders with car, motorcycle, and taxi drivers, and operates a large fleet of rental e-mopeds, e-bikes, and e-scooters. All of Marti’s offerings are serviced by proprietary software systems and IoT infrastructure.

Marti invites applications from dynamic, innovative and highly motivated candidates for the following position;

Requirements

· Chartered Accountant/ qualified accountant, with strong collaborative and problem solving skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields,

· Minimum 8 years experience including team management,

· Strong technical accounting and analytical expertise (experience in hyper inflaction accounting would be highly beneficial)

· Experience in the assessment of complex and non-routine accounting transactions and referring to regulations and relevant accounting standards in order to find solutions.

· Good command of English

· Excellent leadership and communication skills,

· Strong understanding of accounting, tax, and audit principles,

· High proficiency in MS Office applications,

· Experience with SAP/B1 is preferred,

· Good knowledge of tax regulations and filing requirements

· Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data,

· IFRS and/or USGAAP knowledge is a plus,

Responsibilities:

· Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time,

· Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency,

· Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed,

· Managing intercompany charges and balances of the Group,

· Tax planning throughout the fiscal year; and filing annual and mothly tax returns,

· Hiring, training, and motivating accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks,

· Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders,

· Acting as a SOX compliance gatekeeper of accounting procedures,

· Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, develop new products&services, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business,

· Staying up to date regarding the latest developments in tax & accounting regulations

· Auditing accounts to ensure compliance with the related regulations; coordinating with and providing the necessary information to independent auditors for the annual and quarterly financial reporting,

· Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements,
