Role Summary

Technical Architect/Lead having excellent track record, who will be responsible for developing application software for next generation of Radio platform. Key drivers are high level of hardware abstraction and functional separation of concern, modern service-oriented modularity. Supporting the O-RAN industry with a high multi-product and re-usable software solution for fast end to end integration and product time to market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain O-RAN Radio control software.
• Work with internal stakeholders and Customers to define winning portfolio and roadmap.
• Support different Radio architecture, platform independent, common SW.
• Define branching strategy, maintain GIT repos, run JIRA/scrum meetings (Agile)
• Think forward, help identify the future possible issues and strengthen the control software design.

Job Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of industry experience
• Solid experience of OOPS design and development using C++, familiarity with various Design patterns.
• Worked with Embedded processors i.e., ARM, MIPS and DSP
• Prior experience with application software, middleware SW development with working knowledge to interface with operating systems Hardware, RF etc.
• Experience with testing and debugging embedded systems software with multi-threaded environment, Linux or commercial RTOS.
• Experience with closed loop systems, and understanding of algorithms such as Tx power control, AGC, DPD/CFR, etc.
• Good understanding of gain, power measurement, dBm attenuators, etc. in radio
• Familiar with control and management of network elements using a variety of interfaces, such as NETCONF/YANG, Web APIs, message queues, files and databases.
• Familiar with Comms interfaces - Ethernet / TCP/IP / UDP / SNMP / XML
• Familiarity of 3GPP RAN specifications and functionality.
• Knowledge of Telecom technology & standards Sync-E, IEEE-1588v2 etc.
• Knowledge of NR air interface, and specifically L1 PHY and Analog radio transmission for NR
• Scripting languages: Matlab/Python
