Role Summary
Platform Support Engineer specializes in RHOSP/OCP/MWP(pf9) platforms.Or AWS/GCP expertice. Their role involves, ability to deploy a platform afresh, Upgradations, Applying config changes, Kernel and firmware upgrades, Certificate upgrades. Engineer would also be able to analyse and troubleshoot Customer Incidents on HEAT Portal and provide resolution within SLA. Engineer will also be expected to be in Rota as Oncall Engineers to assist Other regions and Emergency support. Engineers shld be well versed in writing and communication RCAs and technical analysis to cross functional teams and to Customers.
Engineer should be able to work with 3rd party vendors to question and get proper resolutions from Vendors like Arista, Dell, TechData, pf9, Portworx and others. He needs to be able to mentor others and lead a few engineers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engineer shld have expertise on RHOCP/OpenStack/AWS/GCP platforms. (Atleast 1)
2. Engineer should have experience in Customer operations with knowhow of SLAs and being able to address customer issues within SLA.
3. Ability to Install, Upgrade, deploy platforms.
4. Engineer should be flexible for Oncall rota for emergency support
5. Engineer should be able to pick Customer incidents and provide resolution in a timely manner
6. Engineer should have excellent written and oral communication skills and should be an expert in writing RCA documents.
7. Ability to work with cross functional teams and with Customers and vendors.
8. Deployment experience in any of the Platform with expertise.
Job Requirements
Exp- 6-9 years Location-Bangalore JD: Roles and responsibilities : • Deploying NFVi Solution for customer under aggressive timelines. • Handling network outages that involves debugging and providing immediate resolutions. • Working closely with customers and onsite teams across the globe. • Raising and tracking issues with other partner vendors. Skills: • 5+ years of experience in the IT/Telecom industry • 3+ years of experience working with virtualization technologies (vSphere, Xen, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization, Docker, PowerCLI, or Microsoft Hyper-V) and cloud technologies like OpenStack Platform • Strong working & troubleshooting experience in Linux/CentOS/Ubuntu • Should be conversant with CLI for Openstack modules like NOVA, SWIFT, GLANCE, NEUTRON, HEAT. • Understanding of core networking topology and devices (switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers) • Experience on Shell Scripting or Python • Experience in Automation Tools like Ansible or Chef or Puppet. • Container technologies Docker, Kubernetes Infrastructure-as-as-Service IaaS products • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Strong communication and writing skills required. • Should be comfortable to travel. Qualifications: • BE/M.Tech/MCA/MBA .
