Role Summary
Job Description: Work with different radio hardware to integrate it with other systems and software. Identify issues with Radio SW and work with the radio team to resolve them. Focus on deriving a definitive, documented, and agreed-upon dataset from numerous wireless system data sources to provide a detailed analysis report on the system with predictive and descriptive analysis. Focus on analyzing the collected site or system data and ensuring that findings are well documented, prepared, presented, and explained for customer consumption. Work on developing and testing the Mavenir DU Emulator (MAVDue). Mavenir DU Emulator is an in-house-developed simulated RAN DU node that can be used for ORAN cell site validations. Prepare the systems for different customer requirements and testing them in the lab to standardize the process for the system setup. Work with technical writers and engineers to document final process configurations and MOPs to support field operations. Create test scenarios and test the Mavenir DU Emulator releases to comply with customer and internal standards. Identify issues during the testing and work with the team to resolve them. Work with internal and external teams to set up and configure the Device-Under-Test (DUT), which includes radio units and subsystems with Layer 1 functionality that interoperates as defined in the O-RAN standard, contribute to the design of the 4G/5G RAN lab test program, including analysis of the requirements.Key Responsibilities
- 3GPP protocol standard, 4G and 5G Call flow and protocol stack
- Configuring test scenarios and building lab setups based on 3GPP and ORAN definitions
- Analyzing 4G/5G Layer 1 logs to troubleshoot at application level during RRU Integration
- Preparing different scripts using multiple scripting languages such as shell and python for smart monitoring and execution for the testing, log analysis and template creation
- Performing tests on new RRUs for Layer 1 application and analyzing the Output signals with one of the following tools: Wireshark, IQ Data analyzer or Vector Spectrum analyzer to record the performance of the Hardware
- Trouble shooting for call flow issues with customer using one of the following tools: Wireshark, QXDM, QCAT, XCAL, XCAP, PCAT, QPST, or Wireshark
- One of the following Linux based systems: RHEL, CentOS or Ubuntu commands, scripting, analysis, or troubleshooting
