Role Summary

Job Description: Design and prepare CIQ comprising Network design, CPU, Memory, Disk etc for the NFs of 5G core and 5G-RAN in customer labs. Update the CI/CD, Ansible scripts and helm charts to suite customer need for the installation of IaaS, CaaS and PaaS to setup the Kubernetes cluster as foundation bed for UDM/UDR, 5G-RAN and SMSF NF. Troubleshoot and fix Kubernetes based platform complexities to maintain the Container Attached Services and avoid downtimes in customer premises. Mitigate and support customer security scan audits of nodes and pods. Host the openebs based Volume services for the Kubernetes Persistent Volume services. Expected to do automation using TCP, Perl, Python. Upgrade 5G Cell sites which includes 5G nodes RU, DU, CU and Management nodes. Monitor and trouble shoot issues on 5G nodes. Design and Creation of Acceptance test plan. Generate Method of procedures explaining step by step sequence of performing a network operation. Manage Change requests from customer and prepare acceptance criteria for the same.

Key Responsibilities

• 5G & IMS Network Architecture Protocols and Call Flows.
• Spec (ETSI/3GPP/O-RAN) based knowledge on Telecom call flows and Protocols – 5G-RAN, 5G-UDM/UDR, CSCF, and HSS nodes .5G Network architecture and call flows.
• Installing, integrating and testing 4G & 5G nodes.
• Troubleshooting Site issues and automation using Python, Shell, Perl and Tcl scripting language to design and support the Call Flow Testing and debugging;
• DB applications such as MySQL, MariaDB, Cassandra DB, Couchbase DB, Netconf based, or similar application.
• Accessing repositories such as Git, Harbor, Jfrog, or similar tool

Job Requirements

Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and five (5) years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering or a Master’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and two (2) years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering. The experience that is required must have involved the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• 5G & IMS Network Architecture Protocols and Call Flows.
