Role Summary

Specializes is supporting and resolving customers encountering problems using company's products such as concerns raised during installation, operation, maintenance or product application or compatibility matters. Reports new or recurring problems to design departments.

Key Responsibilities

Core Network & VoLTE/IMS Expertise

  • Explain and present 4G/3G/2G Core Network (Voice & Packet Core) architectures, VoLTE/VoNR concepts, and related solutions to global telecom customer teams.
  • Design High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for VoLTE, IMS, and related mobile core network elements.
  • Support implementation and optimization of IMS Core functions including CFX, TAS, SBC, MRF, DRA, and EPC components (MME, SGW, PGW).

2. Operations & Support

  • Ensure smooth VoLTE operations, including monitoring, performance improvement, and issue prevention across the network.
  • Provide end-to-end operational support (Managed Services) for VoLTE, IMS, and Core Network platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including RF, Transport, BSS, and OEM vendors for effective service management.

3. Troubleshooting & Analysis

  • Perform E2E troubleshooting of VoLTE, IMS, LTE, 3G, and GSM call flows and service issues.
  • Conduct trace analysis, protocol analysis, and debugging using tools like Wireshark, MML, and vendor-specific tracing systems.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, partners, and internal teams for timely closure of complex network issues.

4. Cloud, Virtualization & Modern Network Technologies

  • Work with cloud-native core components involving VMware, OpenStack, containerization, ZTS, and NFV/IMS virtualization environments.
  • Participate in cloudification and modernization initiatives for evolving telecom architectures.

5. System Knowledge & Platform Management

  • Utilize strong understanding of BSS, PACO VoLTE solutions, and telecom operational management systems.
  • Handle network performance management, SLA management, and quality improvement frameworks.
  • Manage and maintain core network elements in hybrid environments (physical + virtualized).

6. Scripting & Automation

  • Use Linux & Shell scripting for operational automation, log parsing, and system administration activities.
  • Contribute to efficiency improvements by automating repetitive tasks and operational workflows.

7. Shift & Global Operations

  • Work in 24/7 operational environments, supporting global telecom customers across different time zones.
  • Provide on‑call support as required to ensure network stability and service continuity.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
  • Proven experience working as an IMS Technical Expert for VoLTE, VoWiFi, or related IMS Core solutions.
  • Strong understanding of and hands‑on experience with relevant telecom networking protocols (SIP, Diameter, RTP/RTCP, VoLTE call flows, CSFB, etc.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, OpenStack, NFV, containerization).
  • Experience with network performance monitoring tools and service quality management.
  • Understanding of rollout risks, change control processes, and live‑network stability.
  • 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in the above field
