Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Packet Core Support Engineer with 8–12 years of telecom experience to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize packet core network elements. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence of 4G/5G core networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 support for Packet Core nodes such as SGW, PGW, MME, PCRF, PCF, AMF, SMF, UPF
  • Monitor network performance and handle incidents, outages, and escalations
  • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and issue resolution
  • Manage software upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
  • Ensure SLA compliance and service availability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RAN, OCS, IMS, Platform, ST/R&D)
  • Maintain documentation and prepare operational reports
  • Support network optimization and capacity planning activities

Job Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in telecom, with strong exposure to 4G/5G Packet Core
  • Strong knowledge of LTE/5G architecture, protocols (GTP, S1AP, Diameter, PFCP, NGAP, HTTP/2)
  • Experience in troubleshooting and incident management in live networks
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems and basic scripting
  • Understanding of virtualization/cloud (NFV, Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
