Overview
Penguin Solutions is currently seeking a Program Manager to drive and lead customer-facing programs in our fast-paced, rapidly growing AI Factory business. The Program Manager has two critical responsibilities: 1) Deliver revenue as planned and 2) Exceed customer expectations to retain and grow our existing customer base. They serve as the Voice of the Customer to other Penguin departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional programs in a matrix organization including hardware, software, and services components.
- Tackle complex problems with a strategic mindset that balances internal and external priorities.
- Perform active risk identification and risk mitigation strategies to meet customer and revenue obligations.
- Drive key program management deliverables including kickoff meetings, project plans, lessons learned, internal and external communications, etc.
- Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.
- Define and own program metrics and key performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in engineering, computer science, or business.
- 5+ years of experience leading customer-facing programs.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-organizational programs and holding teams and individuals accountable to timelines and deliverables.
- Excellent communication and emotional intelligence (EI) skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to operate autonomously in a complex, ambiguous environment.
- Keen experience to identify problems and proactively work towards solutions.
- Project Management Professional® and Certified Scrum Master® certifications preferred.
- Software management experience is a plus.
Location
This is a remote position in the United States with preference given to candidates in the Richmond, VA area.
Travel
Up to 30%.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $116,000 - $137,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
