Job Overview

We are seeking a Storage Product Architect to define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our storage portfolio within the AI Factory Platform.

Storage is foundational to AI factories, powering data ingestion, model training, and inference at scale. This role will shape how customers manage high-performance, data-intensive workloads across distributed AI environments.

You will work at the intersection of AI, data infrastructure, and high-performance storage systems, partnering with engineering, customers, and go-to-market teams to deliver differentiated, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Co-Own the product strategy and roadmap for Penguin’s storage solutions aligned to the AI Factory Platform
  • Define capabilities to support high-throughput, low-latency AI and HPC workloads
  • Translate customer needs into scalable product requirements across:
    • Parallel file systems and distributed storage
    • Data pipelines, ingestion, and movement
    • Tiered storage and data lifecycle management
    • Performance optimization for GPU-based workloads
  • Partner with engineering to deliver high-performance, scalable storage solutions
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing on positioning, packaging, and customer adoption
  • Engage with customers and partners to validate requirements and accelerate market traction
  • Monitor trends in AI data infrastructure, storage technologies, and emerging architectures

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of product management experience in storage, data infrastructure, or enterprise systems
  • Strong understanding of distributed storage architectures and performance optimization
  • Experience with AI/ML, HPC, or large-scale data platforms
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear product strategy and customer value
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade infrastructure products
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS), object storage, or NVMe-based architectures
  • Familiarity with GPU-accelerated environments and AI training pipelines
  • Exposure to hyperscalers or large enterprise infrastructure deployments

Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in United States is $116,000 - 144,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
