Job Description

The FP&A Director for Commercial will be responsible for owning global revenue, margins and selling related costs for the largest segment in PerkinElmer. The role will work closely with senior finance and business leaders across PerkinElmer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a global team (7 analysts) in owning a ~$800M P&L within PerkinElmer focused on managing P&L’s financials and key performance indicators (revenue & margins, price/volume/mix, customer past dues, salesforce effectiveness metrics, etc.)

• Develop and implement annual operating plan and forecasts to accurately reflect current expectations of the business

• Enable the commercial leadership team to make informed business decisions through a financial lens

• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes and deliverables, including analyzing market/customer trends, gross margins, and headcount

• Help support key commercial deals, including input on pricing and contract structure

• Foster improvements in financial processes and IT systems to eliminate non-value add work

• Support separation and integration projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

• 10+ years of related business experience in Finance with a track record of graduated and scalable success

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP, Hyperion (HFM/Essbase), Business Objects

• Experience leading a global team

• Robust financial system knowledge: able to link proposed operational processes to financial accounting/system requirements.

• Team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity.

• Strong ability to navigate through ambiguity, show initiative, and confidently manage conflict and difficult conversations especially during times of change.

• Strategic thinker. Strong bias for action while considering potential outcomes from multiple angles. Always driving towards simplification and transparency.

• Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and manage/complete multiple complex activities in a time-sensitive environment.

• Strong proficiency with financial systems and applications; Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications
