OneSource Equipment Specialist

Responsibilities
Location Collegeville, PennsylvaniaUS Job ID REQ-052063We are looking for a qualified candidate to support GMP and non-GMP equipment within the analytical laboratory space. This role will present as an equipment support specialist as well as having the responsibility of supporting various software applications as a local administrator and point of contact for equipment matters in the lab. Typical applications used include TIAMO, MultiDose (MD Soft), and Chemstation. The successful candidate will be supporting both validated business critical GMP equipment and non-GMP equipment with a data integrity mindset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports the department within the analytical HPLC and automation labs
- Performs performance qualification testing and weekly/monthly user checks, schedule and escort vendors for service calls, submits equipment work order requests.
- Responsible for providing accurate GMP documentation in support of equipment change records, user checks and impact assessments
- Assists system owners with equipment validation and routine changes
- Executes tests required of change control process
- Documents testing within an electronic notebook
- Assists lab owners with equipment movement and decommissions
- Ensures all equipment is up to date within the appropriate equipment management system

Basic Qualification:
- BS or MS in Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry.
- 2+ years’ experience working in research lab settings (academic or industry).
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience working in an analytical laboratory
- Experience working in a GMP setting
Other Requirements:
Physical Demands
- The overall physical exertion of this position may require:
- Sit or stand 2-3 hours in laboratory areas.
- Walk 2-3 hours within a facility.
- Reach above/below the shoulder, bend at the knees and waist.
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Office work activities, including keyboard, with fingers/hands/arms up to 4 hours.
- Work around moving laboratory equipment and machinery.
- Use of personal protective equipment in laboratory.
- Work with biohazards such as blood borne pathogens.
Working Environment
- Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment.
- Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
- Employee may be required to manage hazardous wastes in compliance with company procedures & State/Federal/Local hazardous waste regulations. Duties may include: Identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing, labeling.
- Ensure safety, security, and the environment in all aspect of the daily activities, and any potential safety hazards are addressed and corrected immediately.
- Understand ergonomic relationship between people, equipment and working environment.

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $56,000 to $84,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
