Purpose

Job Overview

PerkinElmer is looking for a motivated, experienced Product Manager to accelerate growth of our Perten food analysis instruments. The successful candidate for this position will be expected to drive profitable revenue growth by championing the product line, with full product lifecycle responsibility for instruments and related accessories.

Our Team

Perten, a part of PerkinElmer’s Food Solutions business, has a rich 60-year legacy of providing leading testing instrumentation to the food industry, including near-infrared, Process NIR, and rheology solutions.

Responsibilities

Product Champion: Delivers year over year improved financial performance. Knowledge Leader for the product line and provides support and advise to the rest of the organization. Initiate, support, and lead product sales trainings to regional teams.

Product Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product strategy aligned with company goals and market trends. Position in the market and develop value proposition.

Roadmap Planning: Define and prioritize product features and enhancements for existing and new products based on Voice of Customer, market research, and business objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other functions like R&D, Marketing and Sales to drive product development and revenue growth. Support production forecasting and supply chain prioritizations.

Market Analysis: Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust product strategy accordingly.

Metrics Tracking: Track product performance against goals, making data-driven decisions to optimize product performance. Set global pricing to drive margins and profitability.

Stakeholder Management: Takes full responsibility to communicate product updates, timelines, and priorities to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Product Launch: Lead successful product launches, including coordinating marketing efforts, training sales teams, and ensuring smooth rollout.

Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for their needs and ensuring a customer-centric approach to product development.

Develop Collateral: collaborate with Marketing to develop and maintain collaterals and sales supporting materials.

Basic Qualifications

  • University degree in a technical or scientific discipline
  • Display strong business acumen, a sophisticated knowledge of the business ecosystem, and experience in competitive marketplaces with the ability to make complex and difficult decisions.
  • 2+ years of product management. More experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable presenting technical and business content to large and small audiences
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to understand the financial performance of a global business.
