Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts for loading, unloading, and transporting materials within the warehouse and production areas.
- Ensure safe handling of materials, avoiding damage, and always adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, including tracking incoming and outgoing goods using warehouse management systems.
- Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance of forklifts to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient workflow and proper storage practices.
- Assist in warehouse housekeeping and ensure that storage areas are clean, organized, and comply with company standards.
- Report any operational or safety issues to the warehouse supervisor.
- Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Support stocktaking and inventory management activities.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: SPM or Diploma Logistics or related field.
- Forklift certification from a recognized training institution is required.
- At least 2-3 years of experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to operate different types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck) as required.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, especially within manufacturing environments.
- Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Preferred Characteristics
- Ensure accuracy in all forklift operations and material handling.
- Work closely with other warehouse and production team members to meet operational goals.
- Consistently demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and dedication to assigned tasks.
- Ability to identify issues related to forklift operations or warehouse management and suggest practical solutions.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying workloads.
