Responsibilities

Location Gelang Patah, Johor MY Job ID REQ-056875

Responsibilities:

• Assume company’s EHSMS management representative (MR) role for ISO14001 and ISO45001
• Establish and maintain ISO14001 and ISO45001 management systems
• Plan for EHS activities, such as EHS committee meeting, EHS inspection, EHS Day, and others
• Initiate and execute site EHS improvement programs in compliance with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards’ requirements
• Manage site licenses, inclusive of license application and license renewal for site
• Ensure that site operation is in line with all EHS related legal requirements
• Manage Safety Risk Assessment and Environment Aspect & Impact Assessment
• Manage Security personnel for site. Set clear directions, instructions and boundaries for security personnel to carry out their security duties
• Initiate and execute programs for energy conservation and cost improvement
• Perform other projects or tasks assigned by the management
• Experience in handling radioactive materials is preferred

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other related Engineering fields from a reputable institution
• Minimum 7 years of EHS working experience
• Green Book (Safety & Health Officer) certified

Preferred Characteristics:

• Meticulous and detailed person.
• Law abiding mentality.
• PC skills including Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
• Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Good oral communication in both English and Malay and written communication in English.
• Strong bias for action and result oriented. Ability to prioritize and work independently and proactively is critical for success.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple and complex tasks in a fast paced and challenging environment.
• Demonstrates diplomacy, confidentiality and professionalism.
