Summary:
The role primary focus is to support and develop our dedicated support team that works with project delivery, contract negotiations, data analysis and development of our maintenance system. It involves many points of contact with customers but also our own business. The role will be part of the site
management team, work in close collaboration with the Site Operations Lead for developing strategies and plans for the development of delivery on the account but also together with the local Service Delivery leadership to create effective overall solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads scientific asset management engineer team/reliability engineering team, CMMS management team as well as CAPEX and surplus processes. Collects, analyses, recommends and implements approved solutions for quality of material and support services that suppliers provide. Works with account management to ensure contract requirements, such as budgets and scope of work, are met.
  • Leads team in identifying assets coming out of warranty and identifies appropriate maintenance policies
  • Work closely with operational leads to identify potentials for self-perform activities and drives negotiations with vendors to secure capability build for internal team
  • Supports the development of reports to capture clear and transparent view of current performance levels across the account (provision of technical service, vendor performance)
  • Identify and prioritize improvements related to all aspects of life cycle asset management and CMMS.
  • Liaise with AZ Capital Demand Managers, to drive improvements related to asset control and Capital Expenditure planning.
  • Leads team responsible for ensuring an accurate asset register incl. asset count, in & out flows, and driving improved asset control through influencing budget holders and driving related activities.
  • Responsible for serviceable life studies (remaining useful life, costs in relation to benefit).
  • Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Certification or bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Mechanical/Industrian/Chemical Engineering, Maintenance Management) or equivalent in work experience and training
  • Experience in maintenance management, total productive maintenance (TPM) or maintenance excellence methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a scientific environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer facing role within a regulated environment
  • 1+ year(s) in a leadership or supervisory role leading others and delivering administrative functions (i.e., Performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.)
  • Management consulting experience within sourcing, supply chain and operations
  • Experience working in a research laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of, and experience of working with, the Life Science industry supplier base including analytical instrument OEM’s, service providers and consumables vendors is preferable
  • Experience from process developments and Operational Excellence initiatives and related concepts such as 5S, Lean, TPM is preferable
  • Working understanding of GLP/GMP
  • Experience of working in a compliance driven environment
