Responsibilities:
- You will be part of the North America accounting team, supporting the accounting manager during the monthly close process.
- Record US and Canada cash activity in Oracle Fusion Cash Management with weekly reconciliations to a global cash flow number.
- Prepare and enter journal entries as needed, with appropriate support for manager review.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations that agree to the General Ledger and provide explanations for all balances.
- Execute key accounting controls for Sarbanes-Oxley purposes and provide support to the internal and external auditors to assist in the completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Assist with quarterly and annual external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and compilation of requested documentation.
- Collaborate with a global team, including Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects and process documentation.

- You can work independently and proactively move issues along by working with cross-functional partners when direct manager is unavailable due to time zone differences.

- Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
- Aptitude for learning new systems and software tools, including PowerQuery and Oracle BI.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks independently and effectively while contributing to team goals.
- Prior involvement in audit support, internal controls, or compliance activities in plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s or CPA preferred).
- 0-2 years (including public accounting) experience or 1-4 years non-public accounting experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, both English and Romanian required.
