The Test Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the end-to-end testing function across multiple projects or product lines. This role focuses on defining scalable testing strategies, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. The Test Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align testing efforts with business objectives, technical requirements, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive, organization-wide test strategy, including policies, governance models, and quality standards
Plan and manage testing resources, schedules, and budgets across concurrent projects, ensuring optimal utilization and delivery efficiency
Coordinate manual and automated testing efforts across teams and vendors
Ensure alignment between testing activities and business, technical, and compliance requirements
Monitor and report on test progress, quality metrics, and risk assessments
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and team capabilities
Manage relationships with external QA partners or service providers
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in software testing and QA leadership
Proven track record in managing large-scale testing initiatives
Strong understanding of test management tools and methodologies
Experience with both manual and automated testing strategies
Excellent stakeholder communication and team leadership skills
Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, automotive)
Knowledge of enterprise QA tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification
