The Role

As a HPC System Administrator, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to implement, operate and maintain a supercomputing cluster.

Day-to-day, you will be:

  • Deploy and maintain high-performance computing capabilities to support engineering delivery.
  • Configure and optimize Linux-based HPC environments for maximum performance and reliability.
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard HPC systems and data.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users, troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions.

This role is a full-time position based fully on-site out of our Gosport Site

Essential experience of the HPC System Administrator:

  • Strong experience with-in Linux system administration, with a strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments, including cluster management and batch scheduling
  • Experience with the configuration and optimisation of queue systems, including assisting end users to develop suitable scripts.
  • Experience with Low Latency/RDMA network technologies
  • Experience with Linux scripting languages in HPC environments

Qualifications for the HPC System Administrator:
