Land Systems Division of CASG is the single point of accountability for both acquisition and through-life-materiel support for designated land systems for the Australian Defence Force. Land Systems Division is responsible for delivery of a diverse range of capabilities to support 'raise, train and sustain' requirements and operational deployments.

We are now looking for Project Managers to work on tasking which is integrated with the Department of Defence in relation to acquisition activity. The roles will include working closely with the Team Leader and will coordinate, oversee and report on multi-disciplinary programs/projects. Specifically the Project Managers will:

  • Engage effectively with all areas of the program to coordinate the reporting on the delivery of tasks and milestones;
  • Maintain effective communications across the program and its stakeholders;
  • Manage contracts in support of the program;
  • Manage the program schedule and other artefacts using the Microsoft Project Server;
  • Maintain and manage program financial systems;
  • Manage program risk; and employ good change management practices.
  • Interpret, apply and advise on Defence policies and procedures
  • Working in a team of specialists to deliver the program

To be successful in the role you will need to bring with you:

  • A Bachelor Degree in a commercial field, such as business, accounting, law or a related field
  • Experience in project management in a range of challenging environments and settings
  • Experience in project controls and co-ordination of contract deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, multi task and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of modem writing standards and processes, or Defence Writing Standards (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in a large capability acquisition projects, preferably but not essential experience in Defence LAND projects
  • MS Project / Prince 2 / Agile
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels

Please note that due to the nature of our business, all applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. A Current security clearance will be well regarded.
