The Role
As a Facility Planner, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary, providing scheduling and planning support across our bespoke Pendine facility utilised for Test, Trials, Training and Evaluation as a part of QinetiQ’s T3E contract. You’ll co-ordinate trials and activities across the site, utilising the sea danger area, long test track, small arms firing, shoreline and airspace. You’ll also have the opportunity to work in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Be responsible to the Operations Team Leader at Pendine for the co-ordination, scheduling and forward planning of all trials activities
- Maintain an accurate schedule on EpicFlow to support the trials delivery teams to plan projects & maintenance, and provide forecasts locally
- Improve utilisation of resources, managing peaks and troughs of Pendine trials
- Deliver timely and accurate project information, ensuring the general smooth running of the Pendine Trials schedule
- Share any scheduling clashes that arise with the Programme community in a timely manner so that correct priority calls can be made with business priorities in mind
This role is a full-time position based at our Pendine site 5 days a week, with compressed working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Facility Planner:
- Computer Literacy for Microsoft Applications Excel and Word
Highly desirable, but not essential criteria may include:
- Knowledge of project or business management.
- Planning or scheduling experience in a previous role.
- Proven high-level administration skills.
Qualifications for the Facility Planner:
- Mathematics & English GCSE’s.
