The Role
As an IT Support Agent you will provide support to IT Services delivering planned or requested activities in order to effectively deliver a high quality service to our customers.
Day-to-day, you will provide 1st and 2nd line technical support, via phone, the IT self-service portal and in person requests.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Log, update and manage all calls via the IT call logging system relating to the QinetiQ support of all software and hardware in the operational environment
- Manage Software Licenses including, the ordering and distribution of software
- Manage and safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of company and customer information
- Allocate technical calls to the relevant resolver group, initiate escalation procedures and manage incidents
Essential experience of the IT Support Agent:
- Previous experience of working in an IT Service Desk environment
- Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of mobile telephony and smart devices
Essential qualifications for the IT Support Agent:

This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough. Shift patterns for this role are staggered from 6.30am until 8.30pm.
At our Farnborough site exciting work takes place at our state of the art facility, with high-energy laser technologies, our -speed 5m pressurised low wind tunnel which has a simulation capability that is unique in the UK and our large research and development projects it is a real hub of creativity, research and innovation.
