The Role
As a Deputy Design Office Lead, you will provide technical and IT engineering leadership within the area of Defence Digital in order to meet business objectives and deliver growth.
Day-to-day, you’ll be a respected leader and senior technical expert ensuring delivery and supporting technical strategy to positively influence the direction of your team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading project teams to deliver complex solutions whilst forging strong collaborative relationships
- Supporting development in the Technical Disciplines and supporting resourcing decisions
- Understanding market requirements and future technology developments to lead an area in the development of strategies
- Providing technical assurance by leading the development of appropriate technical standards
- Providing effective technical leadership to support the business in both delivery, programmes and bidding activities
Essential experience of the Deputy Design Office Lead:
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment with the ability to present complex technical material to stakeholders
- Strong technical and architectural level experience of Software Defined datacentre architectures focused around VMWare technologies
- Extensive experience working in both Windows and Linux based enterprise environments for core services and database/application hosting services
- Proven experience in Software design, automation design and DevSecOps delivery models
- Previous experience working in a Leadership role with extensive stakeholder management experience
- Strong experience in Physical Infrastructure Design specifically in a Network Edge environment
Essential qualifications for the Deputy Design Office Lead:
A relevant academic achievement at Masters level in IT, Systems Design, Engineering or equivalent relevant industries.

This role is 37 hours per week based at Corsham. Hybrid working patterns are available.
