The Role
As a Design Office Core Services Architect, you will provide detailed technical and engineering leadership within the area of Defence Digital in order to meet business objectives and deliver growth.
Day-to-day, you’ll be a respected leader and senior technical expert across a range of IT disciplines supporting technical strategy to positively influence the direction of the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design of complex solutions forging strong collaborative working relationships to develop great solutions
- The development of the company and customer’s strategic intent helping support the quality and efficiency of delivery
- Engaging with senior level stakeholders and building relationships across the whole of the company
- Providing technical leadership for programme, project and bidding activities
- Leading the development of appropriate technical standards and supporting the development of both long term and short term planning
Essential experience of the Design Office Core Services Architect:
- Previous experience working as an Architect or Leader on a range of projects and campaigns
- The ability to work in an agile environment with strong technical expertise in Virtualisation technologies
- Extensive experience working in Linux and Windows based enterprise environments for core services and application hosting services
- Strong architectural levels of experience with Software Design, Automation Design and DevSecOps delivery models
- Previous experience working in a Defence environment with the ability to speak to senior stakeholders
- The ability to define, scope and assemble high quality proposals offering pragmatic and cost-effective solutions
Essential qualifications for the Design Office Core Services Architect:
A relevant academic achievement at Masters Level or equivalent in either IT, System Design, Engineering or other transferrable academia

This role is 37 Hours per week based at Corsham. Hybrid working patterns available.
